CFG-FI. Nathaniel Harrison Maltby, b. Norfolk, Conn., March 1786, bapt. June 4, 1786 (Benj.4, Dan.3, Dan.2, Wm.1). m. (1) Oct. 16, 1811, Betsey Patchen, in Groton, Tompkins County, N.Y.; b. Dec. 27, 1788 and d. Nov. 28, 1836, and was buried in the Hill Burial Ground of Groton. He m. (2) Dec. 26, 1837, Sally Mason, b. June 14, 1795; d. June 9, 1860, in Bristol, Trumbull Co., Ohio.

Nathaniel Harrison Maltby died in Bristol, Oct. 7, 1855, and with his 2nd wife, was buried in the Maltby Burial Ground at South- ington, Trumbull Co., Ohio. His children were all by his first wife. He was in the War of 1812, a soldier in a New York regiment.

A photograph of the old Homestead at Bristolville, Ohio, and numerous records of this branch of the family, were furnished by Miss Martha J. Maltby of Columbus, Ohio. The house is large, square and painted white, and is surrounded by beautiful old trees.

CFG-FK. Daniel Maltby, b. April 13, 1793, Norfolk, Ct. (Benj.4, Dan.3, Dan.2, Wm.1). "He removed to Homer, N.Y., where he married Esther G. Tappin, and about 1819, they went to Southington, Trumbull Co., Ohio. He went with his father, Benjamin (4) Maltby. "

Esther Tapping was born on Long Island, N.Y. July 23, 1796, and died in Saybrook, Ashtabula Co., Ohio, July 18, 1873. He d. Oct. 16, 1886, and with his wife are buried in the Saybrook village cemetery. All their children were born in Southington, Trumbull Co., Ohio. Mar. Jan. 1, 1818, according to account of Golden Wedding.

Deacon Maltbie and wife have 12 children, 6 sons and 6 daugh- ters; 10 sons and daughters, in law, 16 grandchildren. All these were present. 6 from Iowa, 7 from Illinois, 3 from Michigan, and 2 from Connecticut, the remainder live in Ohio.

After prayer by Rev. Mr. Cole, pastor of the Congregational Church of Saybrook, the anthem, "When I survey the wondrous cross" was sung by the family. Then followed an interesting address by Mr. Barber of Geneva.
